Laundry trends are changing
We want functional and beautiful spaces, our laundry room included.
We found a great discussion on Houzz, one of our favorites places to while-away the hours, and wanted to share it with you. Most of the projects shown are in single homes but multi-unit and commercial laundry room owners want all the same updated luxuries.
Counter space, better lighting, fold-put ironing boards and drying racks are just the beginning. Stylish cabinets, better insulation for noise reduction and quiet pipes are a must as well. Many laundry rooms are no longer 'in the basement' so of course a washing machine pan with drain connected to a floor drain is a must for that occasionally leaky washing machine. You most likely want to safeguard against broken hoses with an automatic water shutoff system as well.
